Aerial Shots is a family business, owned and run by photographer Ben Ryan. I’m a down to Earth guys with a passion for new technology and a drive for getting things done right. With over 15 years experience in the photography business, I decided to branch out and develop my skills a little further. In mid 2012, I invested in my first RPAS (UAV, Drone) system. After many upgrades on equipment we now boast a full artillery of professional Nikon and DJI products to make sure we get the right shot for you.

I’ve successfully sat my ground school training and passed my flight exams. I’m also fully IAA Approved to carry out aerial photography and video works throughout Ireland.

Yes, we are i-Fly Technology qualified and hold an aerial works permissions granted by the IAA.

Yes, Aerial Shots have full coverage insurance and also have public liability insurance covering up to €2.2 million.

Unless a buyout of footage is specifically agreed and contracted, Aerial Shots retain the copyright of all filming content. The client purchasing the service of Aerial Shots will get full use of the material, however will not be able to sell the footage or allow 3rd party companies to use it without the agreement of Aerial Shots.

Due to the strict regulations placed on unmanned aerial systems by the IAA, we are only permitted to fly up to 120m (400ft) above ground level. We can also fly out to 300m (984ft) from base giving plenty of movement to reveal large areas. The drone is also capable of reaching speeds up too 70km/h.

It depends on what class the airspace your proposed shoot location is based in. Special permission if needed may be obtainable by us from the IAA.

Yes of course we can give you anything you need! We recommend ground coverage for all of our projects. It can often bring the production value to another level and tell a more complete story.
We have a full suite of cameras including time lapse, motion time lapse, and slow-motion. We use full frame professional equipment to get the precise shot you need.

Yes, all our photography and video packages include free editing. We can supply clients with simple storyboards, adding transitions and effects.
